A gem in Lake Entrance. I highly recommend visiting this museum. A well exhibited collection of thousands of shells and sea life from around the world. The model train display is also very well done and presented. Depending on your interest, it can take between 30 minutes to an hour to view their collection.
The souvenir shop in the front is also very nice, selling accessories and trinkets made from shells.
This is ideal for adults, as well as kids above 5 years of age.
What a great collection of sea shells!! It is crazy to see so many different types. They must be well known collectors world wide. It's crazy how many are on display and that's not all of the collection!! Really enjoyed our time there
The Griffiths Sea Shell Museum and Marine Display, a unique fusion of a shop and museum, left me enchanted. The sea shells, elegantly adorned and diverse in options, created a captivating display. The sculptures were particularly impressive, making it a must to purchase one as a lasting memory. Although my exploration leaned towards the shop rather than the museum, it's undeniably a delightful spot, especially for kids.
Amazing collection of shells at gift shop. My daughter and I bought a lot of beautiful shells at reasonable price. It is a must go place at Lakes Entrance. Highly recommended!
Very cute little museum with an impressive collection of sea shells and gems. The shop offers a range of sea shells for purchase as well as jewelry made from sea shells.
An impressive collection of shells and fossils. A cool train set in one of the back rooms too, but this museum was not necessarily our thing. Popped in for about 20 minutes, and the staff were quite friendly.
It is a museum of sea shells and marine display, coupled with a gift shop where you can buy shells and related stuff. There is also a display of a miniature railway system within the museum. The variety of shells you get to see here is amazing
Out of all the years it is a must see whilst visiting lakes entrance, when I was a young girl and now my children. So many shells and creatures from beneath, can't leave without buying some shells, great gift shop
